Cleaning in Progress
This article explains the Cleaning in Progress message shown on the analyzer during an active ASR® cleaning cycle.
Message Meaning
Cleaning in Progress is an event notification, not an alarm. It indicates that ASR® cleaning is currently active.
The message is typically displayed for 2 to 5 minutes.
System Behavior During Cleaning
- Measurement is temporarily inactive during the cleaning cycle.
- The last valid measured value is held (frozen) on the instrument display and mA output.
- Control functions are temporarily disabled during cleaning.
- Calibration is not possible while cleaning is active.
Calibration Recommendation
Do not calibrate immediately after ASR® cleaning.
Wait 15 to 30 minutes after cleaning has finished to allow the sensor signal to stabilize before starting calibration.
Recommended Cleaning Schedule
If possible, schedule ASR® cleaning for off-hours (for example around midnight) or for a time window when no operator is on site.
- This reduces confusion caused by temporary "Cleaning in Progress" messages during active shifts.
- It helps avoid calibration attempts during or directly after cleaning.
- Keep the 15 to 30 minute stabilization period before calibration.
Summary
The Cleaning in Progress message confirms that ASR® cleaning is running normally. During this period, measurement and control are temporarily paused. After cleaning, allow sufficient stabilization time before calibration for reliable results.
