Overview
This article explains how to set the ASR® cleaning frequency for Krypton® DIS sensors and how to choose a suitable interval for process conditions.
Helpful article: What is ASR®?
Purpose of ASR® Frequency Setting
ASR® (Automatic Sensor Cleaning) keeps electrode surfaces active by reducing fouling buildup. Correct frequency selection helps maintain signal stability, reduce manual cleaning effort, and improve long-term measurement consistency.
Menu Path
To adjust the ASR® cleaning frequency on Krypton® DIS:
Main menu > In/Out > DIS > scroll to Cleaning
In this menu, set the number of cleanings per week.
Available Frequency Range
- Minimum: low weekly frequency (application-dependent).
- Maximum: up to 1 cleaning per day (7 cleanings per week).
Operational Notes
- Select frequency based on actual fouling tendency and process contamination level.
- Start with a moderate setting, then optimize using trend stability and maintenance feedback.
- If drift or response delay persists, verify flow/sample conditions and sensor status before increasing frequency further.
- After changing settings, observe readings over several operating cycles to confirm stability.
