Overview
The NEON® ONE platform uses a role-based access control system to protect system settings and ensure only authorized users can perform sensitive operations. Each role has a specific PIN code and permission level.
User Roles and Default PIN Codes
| PIN Code | Role | Permissions |
|---|---|---|
| 0000 | Read Only | View measurement values and alarms only – no changes allowed |
| 0202 | Technician | Calibration, sensor diagnostics, basic alarm setup, service functions |
| 1612 | Manager | Hardware settings, module configuration, system maintenance |
| 1818 | Service | Full access: user management, remote access setup, I/O configuration, all system-level operations |
Note: The PIN codes for different roles can be customized in the system settings.
How to Log In
- Tap the Login icon in the navigation bar (top of screen)
- Select your role from the list
- Enter the corresponding PIN code using the numeric keypad
- Tap Confirm
After successful login, the current role is displayed in the top bar. Role-specific menus and actions become available based on your permission level.
Automatic Logout
The system includes a timeout mechanism that automatically returns the device to a locked state after a period of inactivity. This ensures security when the device is left unattended.
Security Recommendations
- Only assign Service or Manager roles to qualified personnel
- Change default PIN codes after initial setup
- Protect access credentials against unauthorized use
