This article explains what to do when the analyzer shows Check measuring input - DIS.
What This Message Usually Means
The DIS input signal is outside the valid operating window for the selected range/configuration. The fastest fix is usually process concentration or range selection, then cabling, then hardware.
Typical Causes
- Most common: disinfectant concentration is too high for the selected measuring range. Reduce concentration or select a higher range (maximum range example: 0-20 ppm, depending on configuration).
- Common: cable and/or sensor connection issue. Re-seat connectors and verify wiring against the correct terminal diagram for your analyzer model.
- Least common: hardware malfunction (analyzer input / electronics).
Recommended Actions
- Confirm real disinfectant concentration with a valid reference method
- If concentration is high, lower dosing or expand DIS measuring range in the menu
- Inspect DIS cable routing, connector tightness, and correct terminal assignment
- If wiring is correct and concentration is normal, contact Kuntze support with trend and event timing
