Overview
This helpdesk article is written as a quick setup workflow for daily field use. It follows European requirements with metric units, EU mains cable types, and practical calibration steps for a KRYPTON® Multi with Argon StabiFlow® (pH + disinfection / DIS; optional third channel if fitted). The overview graphic may label the controller as Neon® Multi—mounting, plumbing, and workflow are the same for KRYPTON® Multi.
- Power cable: Type F (Schuko, CEE 7/7) for typical EU shipments—confirm against your packing list.
- Line voltage: 85…265 V AC, 50/60 Hz
- Power consumption: 10 VA
- Pressure units: bar / kPa
Quick setup (about 15–25 minutes)
- Mount the instrument vertically on a stable wall board.
- Insert clean sensors (see Sensor cleaning); install pH in flow cell (7) and DIS in flow cell (9) if that is your configuration.
- Connect pH cable (6), DIS cable (8), and FTG temperature cable (4); tighten fittings.
- Connect water inlet (10) and outlet (11) tubing; keep the sampling reference valve (12) closed when not sampling.
- Power on using the EU power cord.
- Check flow status on the display and confirm stable operation.
- Run calibration (pH buffers, then DPD reference for DIS as required).
- Set outputs if needed (4–20 mA, relay alarms, ASR®).
Important: After opening or closing the front, secure the lock pin (2) correctly—poor engagement risks water ingress into the electronics.

Flow and pressure check
If flow is too low, the display may show Digital input 1 – no water (or equivalent).
Minimum inlet pressure: 0.5 bar (approx. 50 kPa)
Maximum inlet pressure: 6.0 bar (approx. 600 kPa)
Maintain a positive pressure differential from inlet to outlet (minimum about 0.5 bar). Keep flow stable during calibration and normal operation.
Sensor cleaning
Sensor cleaning is optional before every routine day—clean when contamination is visible, response is unstable, or before calibration if required. Always clean before first insertion after service.
pH calibration
Navigate to Menu > Cal > Cal pH (wording may vary by firmware). Use pH 7 buffer, then pH 4 (or the second point per manual), then save.
DIS calibration
Take sample water from the sampling reference valve (12). Perform the DPD test. Open Menu > Cal > Cal DIS. Enter the DPD reference value, then confirm and save.
