The Krypton® Multi provides six digital inputs (DI1–DI6) for flow monitoring, external stops, level limits, and optional controller parameter sets. Configure every input under Main menu > In/Out > Digital.
Menu location
All digital-input settings are in: Main menu > In/Out > Digital
For each DI you can define whether the input behaves as normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC), depending on the external switch or contact you connect.
Digital inputs 1–4
Typical assignments:
- DI1 — flow switch (most common). Wired from the StabiFlow® flow contact to terminals 50 / 51 (see wiring table below).
- DI2 — external controller stop (all controllers).
- DI3 — level monitor for pH (pH controller only).
- DI4 — level monitor for DIS 1 (DIS 1 controller only).
Factory defaults and controller behaviour:
- At the factory, DI1 is set to NC (normally closed).
- Activating DI1 or DI2 shuts off all controllers.
- Activating DI3 shuts off the pH controller only.
- Activating DI4 shuts off the DIS 1 controller only.
Digital inputs 5 and 6
Digital input 5
DI5 is either not active or used to activate the second controller parameter set (for example night-time operation).
Digital input 6 (optional third parameter set)
DI6 is configured in a drop-down list as either:
- Leakage control, or
- Activation of the third controller parameter set
Wiring the digital inputs
Each digital input uses a − and + terminal on the strip. Connect the external contact between the matching pair. The terminal columns are the last columns in the table.
| Digital input | Function | Polarity | Terminal |
|---|---|---|---|
| DI1 | Flow control | − | 50 |
| DI1 | Flow control | + | 51 |
| DI2 | External controller stop | − | 52 |
| DI2 | External controller stop | + | 53 |
| DI3 | Level monitoring pH | − | 54 |
| DI3 | Level monitoring pH | + | 55 |
| DI4 | Level monitoring DIS 1 | − | 56 |
| DI4 | Level monitoring DIS 1 | + | 57 |
| DI5 | Activation 2nd parameter set | − | 58 |
| DI5 | Activation 2nd parameter set | + | 59 |
| DI6 | Activation 3rd parameter set / leakage control | − | 60 |
| DI6 | Activation 3rd parameter set / leakage control | + | 61 |
DI1 and FTG flow switch: Terminals 50 and 51 are also used for the flow contact from the Argon StabiFlow® FTG cable (white/brown). See Krypton® Multi Terminal Connection Wiring Guide.
Important notes
- Match NO/NC in the menu to the physical switch (factory default for DI1: NC).
- If you see Digital input 1 (no water), check flow, DI1 direction, and StabiFlow® operation.
- Configure DI6 function (leakage vs. third parameter set) before relying on that input in AUTO mode.
